Who am I?
Like Holden Caulfield said, I don't feel like going into that crap. My point of view is from a cynical, unemployed graduate student much older than I should be. I suffer from chronic depression, but still going for an MFA despite the fact that such toil and travail and loss of money is to buy the degree, since clearly the purpose of a graduate degree is vanity on the resume rather than actual learning how to do anything.
Proof: Your statement of purpose and your writing sample must show that you're already proficient in what it is you're paying the university to teach you.
This blog is a sundry collection of things I've encountered in real life and across the world wide web that resonate with my own state of mind. There is no theme here, no expectations. Just a digital depository of tattered remnants from civilization.
Most stuff that comes out of people's mouths, including my own, is garrulous, unapologetic twaddle. But some people say things that glow around the edges. Both are here, like ingredients in a cupboard.
